Default lousy videos of my arm going fast.

i've tried mounting my camera to my handlebars, but i think the RF would always shut it down, so i tried a "belt cam."

it makes my arm look sexy at 40+ in traffic...

here's another short video of me passing a speed trap/radar sign in a 45 zone in traffic. you can't read the numbers, but it's flashing, which means i'm speeding...

YouTube - speedtrap flasher

(edit) if you look close, it says "38" at the very end. i'm already passed it, before you jump on my case...)

(edit2) i also just noticed it was in a school zone, so it'd be flashing at 25mph. guess it's not the best proof of speed. maybe i'll do some more video'in tomorrow, if i'm not too hungover...

Let me explain how I mount my camera while riding. It is super easy.

On my camera I have an adjustable Neck strap that goes around your next to prevent from dropping.

I simply put the camera strap around my neck and adjust it so It faces towards forward. Then attach a string, bungee or something to one side of the camera and have it go around your back and attach to the other side of the camera. It works really good.

It kinda looks goofy so I put on a zip-jacket and over the bungee and no one will even notice.
Once you think its all set up take a short video and see how it looks.

If you dont get it lemme know and I will explain better. Good luck man.

On this video I did not use a string around my back because I was trying to show you guys the speeds as you can see if you watch.

here's a better video i just took of me and Happy ripping up Newport Blvd.

YouTube - me and Happy on Newport Blvd filmed in Belt-cam-o-vision

thanks, tcams. i'm digging the belt cam action i've got going.

i've got a hi-dollar Sony cam, but it's in storage, so for now, it's the good ol] kodak easy share.

here's a longer one, where you can get a better idea of the speeds we're going. it's a 45mph speed limit, and we're hangin' with the cars.

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME! i mean, obviously, you have to go out in the street, right?

thats really nice Bairdco! I wanted to take Happy for a ride like that myself, but mother nature didnt allow that to happen and plus Happy didnt pack any warm clothes with him. Happy likes it when the wind blows in his face!

heh. i know what you mean, Norm. i think it was Rockvoice who was saying how someone could just hold a camera out the window of a car and say he was doing 50...

my next vids, i'm gonna hunt down some traffic, and go weaving through it, maybe cut off some busses, draft some trucks, jump some speedbumps... y'know, something exciting, dangerous, and totally inappropriate.
