Default installing rings

well i got a free kit from a guy that gave up on installing it and i guess his kid tore thhe motor apart to see what made it tick. looks like in doing so, he broke the rings. I have new rings and other parts for my original motor that seized on the way and will be installing rings on both motors. Is there anything i should know when installing the rings on the pistons? I would think its pretty straight forward but this guy managed to break them so i thought i would ask. never re ringed anything this small....just cars so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks, Evan

Be sure and watch for the little pin in the ring groove...........

Read through this thread of Normans. It's very informative and covers it all.................
