Default Air Filter Question

im thinking about taking off the stock air filter
and going with a K&N style filter
something like sickbike parts low profile one
or maby there heavy duty hi po one
my question is : will i need to rejet the carb?
or is this just a swap on for the other thing ??

thanks for the help my chopper project going well
painting bike now will start installing motor
next week prob
i know im backwards but i had the paint before i had
my motor kit

I doubt you will have to rejet the carb. The increased breathing of a good filter only improves the typically over rich condition these engines usually have.
Design is easy, execution the hard part.
