Default Panniers?

Anybody know where to find cool looking panniers? By cool looking, I mean something like leather or canvas. Maybe even something like a plaid design. Brooks sells their leather bicycle panniers for like $500. So ridiculous. Derringer Cycles sells some cool ass canvas panniers, but I'm sure they are overpriced too. Anybody have any suggestions?

I'm not sure you can put plaid & cool in the same sentence w/o violating some sort of universal law or another

On a more serious note - I've been idly wonderin' the same (nice panniers, not plaid lol) for my Rollfast... I'm thinkin' mebbe smaller ones ofn' a Harley Sportster... While it's true HD stuff is a pretty penny, there's "off brands" too.

Worth lookin' into anyway

just go to ebay and look under saddlebags, or vintage saddlebags. there's tons of them at really good prices.

Look for panniers for Puch, Peugeot, Tomos, etc. mopeds. They're out there.

I'm always checking the luggage department at local stores. Some nice smaller bags there.
I also peruse the lady's handbag section. REALLY neat stuff there. Then there's always the camera
department. And don't forget the thrift stores for any of the above.
Think OUTSIDE the bag.

Big selection of nice leather bags in the handbag section of the thrift store- one hangs on the handlebars of my e-bike. Around 4 bucks!
