Default Christmas at the postoffice

My wife twisted her knee so I have been doing her leg work. I am not a nice guy so I tend to get a little testy, when things don't go perfectly. So she says to me this morning, "We need to go to the post office." I tried not to imagine the post office as I have always known them to be.

So as I leave the car she says, "Get me a book of Madona and Child stamps."

I get inside and there are eight people ahead of me. They all have multiple packages. I knew right then it was frustration city coming my way. Sometimes I hate being right but I was this morning. It took two hours to get there, wife timed it at fifteen minutes but I swear it was two hours. When I finally get to the window the woman says. I don't have any of those in my drawer let me go to the safe to get more.

Another hour, five minutes, before she comes back to tell me that they have sold out of that particular stamp. I just took my money and walked away. When I got back to the car my wife said, "Well didn't you get another kind."

"Heck no." I said. "If I had you would have told me that we came just for THOSE stamps." After a few short words. I bought a different book of stamps for her at the grocery store. We had to go there anyway.

THESE ARE SAME KINDS OF PEOPLE WANT TO RUN THE WHOLE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. OKAY BEFORE YOU SAY IT, THEY ARE NOT GOVERNMENT WORKERS. IT HAS BEEN PRIVATIZED. SO IT IS THE DMV TYPES WHO WANT TO RUN IT. YEAH I'M ALL FOR THAT.

Ha! The first step is admitting it.

Yeah, the DMV types... The DMV is the epitome of courtesy and efficiency, ain't it?

I usually try to think of something funny to say to the poor checker...they is vastly underapreciated breed of folks.

I was waiting to finish my transaction you know with the dreaded light flashing so everyone in the whole store realises YOU are holding up progress...so I ask the lady are you waiting for aprovall? (it was pretty obvious) She kinda smiled and said yes...I replied well I think you are a fine checker! (Makes their day most of the time)

I'm gonna do just a little preachin here so if you don't like that stuff stop readin now LOL

I really like Joel Olsteen (the smilin preacher from Houston). He said somethin along the lines of when an eagle is huntin some of the other birds will pester him cause they can manuver quicker so what the eagle does is just spread his wings wide open and catches an updraft and rised up higher than the other birds can fly cause the air is thinner up there so that is sorta what I try to do is just rise above it...I don't always succeed but I do try.

Proverbs 19:11 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

sometimes, those checkers need a reality check.

"god keeps evil men in his care, so he may use them as instruments of his vengeance."

No doubt that's true just look at Job...Moses...David they all had their thorns in the side and they came out on top thru faith and perserverance. I think Job had it the worst though all his so called friends tellin him he musta skewed up somewhere to make all this come down on him (they wuz wrong...way wrong!)

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
