Smile Added Front Brakes to CranBrook

I decided to add front brakes to a Huffy CranBrook for more stopping power. These are not the greatest brakes but they do offer more stopping power and work great.,

Photo 1)You can see the hole to mount the brakes.

Photo 2) I pulled a single pivot side pull brakes off a girls BMX bike to use on the CranBrook.

Photo 3)Painted the brakes black

Great idea. Adding drum or disk brakes can get expensive.

I have a Schwinn Delmar and i changed my coaster rear wheel with a freewheel mountain bike wheel and still using cruiser tire. I changed my whole front fork with a mountain bike fork with shocks and brakes built in. Works great, stops on a dime and rear wheel is quiet and runs smooth.
