Default WeedEater VS. ChainSaw

Wich one is best???

I have heard that chainsaws have higher tourque, us this true???

I have a old scooter (http://motorbicycling.com/f3/antuique-score-13120.html) an i am thinking of kicking its motor and getting a chain saw or weedeater. This is a friction drive scooter, so i am thinking weedeater?

What are you thinking??

Chain saw.
Why? You can use the clutch bell as your direct drive wheel, just don't use any more down force than is needed to keep it from slipping.

Run it right on the bikes wheel.

i like the smallness of the weedeater engines , but most of the smaller size ones are designed like a model airplane engine ( one bearing on the front of the shaft )

all the chainsaws that i myself have seen have a bearing on each side , which to me seems more practical when dealing with the torque from the gearing .
