Default New from South of Dallas

I'm from Waxahachie, TX. I have three old bikes out back, all of which have something wrong with them and are not being used. I am trying to learn how to weld and after I am able to do that, then I am going to put into action one of my mind's many ideas.

I have an old Briggs & Stratton 5 HP horizontal shaft motor with a centrifugal clutch and spoke on the side of it.

I looked at the two sitting beside each other (bike and motor) and thought to myself, I've always wanted a motorcycle...

So here I am. I googled it for fun and found you guys!

I have many questions to ask, but I will save them for another thread.

Welcome to the forums, from north of Dallas, in Lewisville. There is a forum here that is specially devoted to "build your own", not from a kit motors. Click here to go to it. Just make sure you don't gear that 5 HP motor very low, or you'll be spending all of your money buying new rear tires. See you around.

Howdy. I am kind of far from Waxahachie, (Greenville) but I'm trying to meet other Mb riders to ride in the city or around lake areas for scenery.

Welcome to the forum. I'm in Katy. 5hp is about twice what is needed, but it should be a lot of fun.
