Default running gear oil in hoot box

ive seen this out there, but who runs gear oil in there hoot gearbox? stock clutch? what kind of results?

Oil in the side clutch housing will cause the clutch to slip!!!
I have put gear oil into the center shaft housing tho... haven't had any probs from that.

wouldn't the 19.99 pocket bike gearbox they sell on ebay be much better than that clanking hoot? but yes, i filled my hoot up with gear oil, it seemed to help a bit.

here's the links to that gearbox, courtesy of Slowbalt. looks like it might reverse the rotation tho, i didnt think about that:
