Question tandem project

OK. I have this Western Flyer tandem I want to motorise. (Chain on right, if it matters.) Wife and I weigh in at around 300 together. Where do I start???

Well, I dont think I have ever seen a Tandem W. Flyer so I am not sure if the the Chinese 2-stroke will fit anywhere. A pic would help or check this thread for frame dimensions and a engine template that you can print out.

There are other options like a rear mount kit.

The first step is decide what type of motor you want to use..2-stroke, four-stroke, and where you want to mount it? In frame, rear mount, front mount?

Sorta has a double frame, so I'm thinking frame mount. Do fenders get in the way? Do Chinese 2-strokes have cylinder liners or roller/ball bearings? Can they be overhauled?
