Default Rrear Sprocket

Does anyone know how much bottom end take off power and extra top end speed I will loose and gain from changing my rear sprocket from 44t to 40 tooth is it wize thanks mick29

About 9% each.

Do the math. It is about-9% for rear wheel torque and +10% for speed assuming the same engine rpm. The top speed will be a little less than +10% since wind resistance becomes more of a factor the faster you go.
