I've heard of slow shipping but yikes!

Ordered a 6v wall wart charger for my headlight battery Sunday night from The Sports Authority. Figured I'd get descent service since they have a few stores around and advertise on the TV and radio all the time.

So ordered the part Sunday the 20th knowing nothing would be done until Monday.

Order was processed at 10:30pm Monday the 21st and tracking number was issued.

Package was picked up at 7:10pm Tuesday the 22nd and still sitting in Louisville KY.

Could be worse.....at least you can track it.

Isn't there storms going on down around that neck of the woods too? Where there's rain or snow, the mail moves slow....always!

What's really surprising to me is the 10:30pm processing time, didn't think interweb stores were open that late.

I ordered a turn signal system from ebay on 9/10/09 and it just came today 9/23/09. Granted it was shipped from China but it was almost a week before they sent confirmation that it was shipped. Painfully slow.....

Buy it now auction won on Thursday, "shipped" Friday, billing info received on Monday but still hasn't been picked up by 9:30pm Tuesday??!!

I buy almost every thing online because of no sales tax and try to get free shipping. Ive noticed alot of stuff gets shipped days later and not the next business day. I think this is because of JIT just in time inventory policies. You buy it and then they order it then it gets shipped. Not all are this way but with half the stuff I buy it does take days to see it be picked up to be shipped.

I order my goods from Florida to be shipped all the way up to Alta. Canada. I ordered on three separate occasions and always received my goods within 7 to 10 days. I'm very happy with that.As long as I know what day it will be delivered, I am happy .
Island Hopper / American Chain Drive are really great to deal with.
