Default Zoom Slanthead Engine

What is your opion on the zoom 68.5cc defect on cylinder where
intake bolts up with the small holes way back on the cylinder?
Those that ordered jet black will not even notice it. Thats why
I ordered Jet Silver to inspect. Other than that it is one of the best
casting for looks and straight fins I have ever seen. There back where it is
difficult to spot. Took end of paperclip and it went on through and made hole a
little bit bigger.

come again? I have the jet black with none of the issues you described. I have a silver one that I will get in a few weeks once I get my stuff from halycon. Post a pic when you get yours or a link to the description of the problem.

Thanks

It is very difficult to spot the pin hole in the casting because of
the location. What led me to find it was the intake casting of cylinder
is different than the other engines. Same location on both sides of
cylinder intake. Sorry I had to return the camera that I borrowed.
Stay above bolt holes and go all the way back to cylinder where fins attach.
At first I thought it was a black speck , so on jet black engine you will not
notice it.

I found them on by black one. Right on top of the intake where you said, both sides. Pulled off the intake tube and it does not go all the way through. Used a piece of wire to poke in the hole and from what I can tell it does not go into cylinder. Might JB weld it.

Good find!

If anyone finds that it goes into cylinder please post.
