Motorized Bicycle Trouble ShootingUse this area to post problems that may arise that you could use some help in figuring out what is wrong with their bicycle motor and what needs to be done to achieve top performance.
I have almost completed my first install, just need to align the chain and was wondering if it is safe to put more shims/washers behind the drive sprocket on the engine to get the sprocket to sit a bit further out? My only concern in doing this is will it put pressure on the bearing behind the sprocket?
I didn't think it was possible to shim those sprockets!?!? I thought the end of the clutch spindal is tapered & the sprocket wedges down on it?.?.. I'll have to try it!
That's why I love this place... I still learn some good stuff here!
