Hello Bob, there has not been an NEr Manual printed that I know of, Neither was there one for the NE5 (late 2004-early 2008), nor one for the Ambassador (2007?-2009).

We have been doing our own dissemination of information. If you need something, please ask, and we will help you.

OK some quick questions
what is the proper air pressure for the tires,, source for the lamps in the spedo/tach
is the battery a jel cell, nicad or just a lead acid ?
one of my instrument lamps are burned out I may replace it with a led
looks like the insert just holds a wire leaded lamp and with a series resistor
a LED should work forever

Hi, well here are some answers,

The battery is a lead acid sealed. Actually a common type.

WhizzerUsa may have the instrument lamps, I've never bought any (since '05).
They are tiny light bulbs, power runs in and out of the lamp (not grounded there, grounded later in the wiring loom). LED should work if polarity is observed.

Always read the sidewall of the tire for correct air pressure, as the tires may not be the same.

Hope this helps,

Mike

actually foolish of me as I should have checked the tires
any info on maintaining the drive belts ? I am not sure other than
tightening the wheel other ways to tension the belt
this would mean that an exact size belt is needed ,
just a little too big and you run out of adjustment
can you add an Idler to the NER ???
when you remove the throat restriction you would make the
mixture leaner so you would have to adjust the idle air richer ??
to allow for the better breathing with the restriction removed?
keep the same size jets ?? I hope so
are there other threads I should be using for these type of information
you have been a big help
thanks

Bob

Hi Rob, well, I dunno what size the rear belt is, nor am I familiar with the drive system. These are among the reasons that I avoided that model altogether.

You can, in most cases, add an Idler to the bottom of the belt-run on any belt-driven device, so yes, an Idler will solve potential rear belt tensioning problems if they occur.

IF you took out the (usually) flesh colored restrictor, AND it happened to be opened up to the same size as the rest of that orifice, then, it will run better, and typically that will not cause the need for a new jet BUT it may not have been jetted correctly for your altitude and climate, and if that were true then a jet, or more likely a needle adjustment would be in order.

Good luck with your NEr, there is very little info available on this model that I am aware of.
