I didnt know they were illegal, i used to ride mine everywhere in the summer, right passed cops and everything. I think if you wear a helmet they dont really care.

That maybe true but that is going to change as more and more show up and I my self am going to register and insure my bike. I have a lot of money invested it would suck big time to loose it to the cops. I've had a cop stop me before and told me to walk it because i wasnt wearing a helmet, i dont think they care about them at all. There is a lot of people around here that ride them. They wont conviscate your bike right away. They would if you kept riding it without a helmet and repeatedly got caught. Thats just my thoughts.
