Default 1955 Schwinn Lowrider update...

I've done a few things to the 55 straight bar Lowrider...
I added a front disc brake, I removed the chain tensioner & I added a leather tool bag.
These things really spruced up it's look!! The front disc brake works sooo good!

Is the disc caliper anchored to the fork with a strap or did you weld a tab ??
I'd also like to know how those bent forks handle ... TIA

The caliper is mounted with a flat plate off the axle... It works very good, but I can't roll the bike backwards with the brake on or it will spin backward... I'm making a new one that will anchor to the fork better.

Also, the lowrider fork looks really cool, but handles like s**t! It's very stable while going straight, but it doesn't turn very well.
This bike gets tons of attention & it's nice to cruise around on, but I wouldn't race anyone around corners on it!
