Default strip paint rebuild. my first

so the motor bike bug bit me hard. i built my first jag, and now i have 2 more bikes in the works. the most recent one i picked up this morning for $20 on good old criags list. i guess it was a nice bike but he let a neighbor girl take it with her to art camp. they painted it and glued gems to it. i have access to a sand blaster and have already take it all the way apart. i just want to know after blasting it what do i need to do? do i need to primer it right away? i live in humid Florida. what kind of paint is the best to use on bikes. again i have a paint gun and can shoot almost anything. please a little guidance would be great.

Default Re: strip paint rebuild. my first

I would use an etching primer/filler right away and then look at Duplicolor's 'Paintshop' if you havn't heard of it, it's a pre-mixed auto paint that's very cheap, about 20 bucks a quart I think. My understanding is that you can pop the can, stir it up and pour it into your spaygun and get a professional looking finish without any reducing or mixing.
