New here. I've got zero experience but have spent a week or two reading the forums.
I'm looking for a 2-stroke kit. I keep finding vendors (e.g. Bikeberry, Piston Bikes, etc) that don't ship 2-strokes to California. And some vendors won't ship anything to Calif!
Can someone recommend a good quality kit, available in Ca, preferably that you've had experience with? I'd rather pay a little more upfront than replace cheap/poor performing parts later on, but I'm primarily interested in a decent engine (with many points given for lowest noise!).
I'm looking for a frame mount kit, and intend to put it on a mt. bike (mid-90s Specialized Rockhopper, hardtail) or an old Peugeot.
Btw, I don't see anything in the DMV code about 50cc limitations, only that the engine should be <2hp, and top speed <30mph. They also do not explicitly forbid 2-strokes.
