This thread is related to the thread "Never let your guard down". I want to focus on cameras for motor assisted bicycle and bicycle riders. (Product info, reviews by forum members, demo videos/accident videos showing the product in action)

Please keep to the topic. This information could really help us if we find a supplier of a proper camera that works well for motor assisted bicycle users (most of us will have to rely on battery power, and might need a device we can remove from the bike if we have to park our bike or to safeguard it).

ION Air Pro HD

$156, free shipping, complete http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=885763&is=REG&A=details&Q=

Wide angle lens, made for bicycles, $150-200, new version available now.

Sample video: Fat woman nearly causes a head on collision to narrowly pass a bicyclist, only to slam the breaks for the stoplight ahead. She then makes gestures and insults him, threatening to "punch him in his # face", despite her door being open into the oncoming lane, and her kid unsupervised in the running vehicle. This is the kind of cager-rage that it might be handy to record.

I saw this on Kickstarter. You can order one now, but they are just going into their first run of manufacturing. It's a bicycle "black box" camera. One touch and it records, till you stop it, or till the camera registers an impact. $150 for the basic version.

If that doesn't work, there are high quality sample videos at the website on Kickstarter (public funding for people selling their ideas and putting them into manufacturing).
