Hello,

I have built two bikes and have had problems with the chain on both, the problem is that i keep breaking links and then chain falls of of the drive sprocket . What are some tips that i can do to help this problem.

Thank you much

I have never broke links as often as you say you have. The only problem I have ever had is the sprocket taking off the Master link clip which made the chain come apart.

The only ways a chain could fail are:
1. Mis-Alignment
2. Not properly taken care of
3. (Rare) Defective Chain
4. To much tension

The above post is right on:
Tension and alignment with the sprockets. Get those right and you'll eliminate most chain problems.
The rear sprocket MUST be centered on the hub. If it wobbles or is not concentric you'll stress the chain, and everything else.

Many of us replace the kit supplied #415 chain with a better quality #41 industrial roller chain.
Good luck.

I had similar problems, and it was a chain alignment issue. I got a manic mechanic hub adapter, and my problem was solved. It cost about 80$ but well worth it to me..
