Hey all,
Has anyone here had to redrill there rims and hubs to be able to accept 12 gauge nipples and spokes? If so, what size bits did you use. I would take a guess but I don't want to over or under size the holes. Thanks for any info

Is it that you've not got the spokes yet & are planning on having the wheelset laced by someone else? If so - I'd hold off till you have 'em or ask at your local bike shop for a spare/spent 12g spoke & use it to size with a drilled test piece/drill index ;)

Finding the drill bit size is not a problem, just wanted to know if it is important or not to have a little clearance or a tight fit. Maybe I'm over thinking this.

What I do when I re-drill since every manufacturer seems to use different size holes, I find the hole size by using drill bits and then go 1/64" over. Has never not worked and more importantly has never had a spoke nipple pull through.
