Socal Motor Bicycle Racing October 18th Grange

I finally pulled my race bike out of hibernation yesterday and took it for a quick spin around the block. Awesome, it started on the third pull and is running like a champ.

Today I started checking everything for tightness and prepping for the race and stumbled upon this...



Yes, that is a broken link in the #41 chain I've been running at the races this year and I think the last race of last year as well. Sure glad I found it as it could have been a real bad ending to this upcoming race on Saturday. You really need to go over everything with a fine tooth comb when you're running this type of overpowered bicycle machine. It is easy too miss something as small as this and that tiny break can put you out of the race just like that....snap!

Time for a new chain.

Baird, somehow I think you'll be showing up unexpectedly.....it's happened in the past, so pull out all the stops and don't fix what ain't broke! Hope to see you there...

Oh come on, your buddy Dennis won't give you a ride?
Your bike was doing great at the last race until your pedal froze up.

Would you have been going on Friday or Sat morning?
I have a bunch of my local customers going but don't know when or how?

Same old story, no gas, grass or ass won't get you to the race. We will miss you!!

I don't know if you guys know what direction we are racing on this Sat 18th?

It was going to be CW as in clockwise and the opposite from our last race.

Would anyone be too pissed off if the direction was CCW, counterclockwise????

It's just a lot easier to run a race CCW for me logistically with the one helper
I am hiring and I am not sure how the half track will work CW too.

I know this is late in the game with only 3 days to the race so i am looking
for some feedback for or against.

The shade cover was finally replaced just after our race and we never got
to enjoy it even though the temps for Fri and Sat are 80* or less.

We are racing CCW as in counterclockwise on Sat 18th and
of course practicing the same direction CCW on Fri 17th 9am to dark.

Gonna be a big turnout with lots of new people and
a really tight action packed schedule.

Practice starts at 7:30am on Sat 18th.

CCW is fine. Working on bike today.....riding bike at the track tomorrow.

The Midrange Class is going to be a hard fought race this sat 18th.
