Hi everyone!
Dave here.
One of today's projects is fabricating a front turn signal bracket out of scrap steel. So cost for the bracket is $0. I thought about several different ways and decided on a pipe. It has to be at least one and a half inches in diameter to be able to get a wrench in it to tighten the lights down. I'm using the front caliper bolt as the mounting point. After I weld the end caps on I'm going to cut slots on each end for wrench entry. I think I'll be fabricating plates out of scrap steel to cover those holes to minimize water entry. The pictures explain pretty much whats going on. After I weld and do some more cutting I'll post an update. Oh by the way these are not the lights I'm using. They are similar in shape and 10mm post. I've ordered the final units and I'll be getting them in about 3 weeks. So freaking slooooooooow. lol
