Back when it was still pretty warm out somebody asked how cold it could be outside and still get one of these China Gurls started.

33 degrees outside, I hadn't fired it since October, yet I got it started and went for a 5-mile ride on it.

Full choke and tickled it till it cried.

Two strokes are pretty good about starting in cold weather. In the late 60s and early 70s I sold Yamaha snowmobiles in NW Alaska. I never had a problem getting a start down to -15f or so, below that it was a lot easier with a shot of ether. Not that they wouldn't start without ether but it took several pulls to loosen them up for a start without.
