I've read here how much trouble it can be to find spokes at your local bike shop. I've had the same trouble myself.
What I did last week when i had to replace 2 rear spokes on my China Grrrl was to take a 26" Huffy MTB I dug out of the trash and un-spoked the rear wheel.
Now I have 34 extra spokes plus the 2 I needed for replacements.
