Intrepid I'm sorry to about the tramway system being destroyed by the earthquake I hope they are able to rebuild. I had hundreds of people everyday bring their kids and grand-kids on the trolley to remember the old days, including my uncle. I had so much fun driving the historic trolley's all them years.
I always thought he was pretty cool...
He was a Gentleman farmer.
My Grandmothers' pet name for him was:
"das Gottverdammeten Dane"...(that goddamned dane)
He always kept a bottle of blackberry schnapps out in the woodshed
& had to chop wood a couple times a day...
He taught me how to play 5 card draw, drink my coffee black & whiskey straight.
The best thing he taught me though, was to stand up and be responsible for my actions.
I hope my grandkid's think as well of me as I did of him.
