Hi guys,
I'm just starting my build.
I just received my gt2a frame yesterday.
Playing phone tag with the powder coat guy today.
I am going to get it shot bright ass yellow to match one of our cars.
Kinda like that color.
I should get my chrome monarch springer today.
Looking to build a 4 stroke bike.
I really could use some advice on a couple items.
I am wanting some fat ass tires/wheels with disc brakes.
Can anybody shoot me a link or offer me some advice on what to buy?
I've done a bunch of research and reading on this but I could really use a bit of help so I am not spending money twice...just can't afford that.
Thanks guys.

Oh, I'm not even sure what this style of bike is called.
What is something like this called?
Most of my riding will be hills and some flat areas.
If I take a left out of my driveway I go up 3500 feet in elevation in 15 miles.
If I take a right I go down 500 feet in 2 miles.
I'm not really a mechanic but have an engineering license (ya whoopee huh?)
I currently fit and weld exotic piping for a living.
One of my wild ideas would be to get another frame, cut off its ass end and make it full suspension.

Hey on that sus. thing, since you have the frame, I'd try a sus. seat post with cloud 9 or similar seat. With all that up hill riding, my experience with 4 strokes has been the hs142 and hf 79cc. The 79 climbed good while lil hs142 struggled. So hp rules again.

So I have been working on the body work and paint the last few days.
3 small dents and several blemishes on my new gt2a frame.
Tank is a slight tad off center as well.
I redo all my body/paint on all my rides unless they are new so that doesn't bother me at all.
I don't think the tank center thing will bother me, so I am still really digging this build.
So today one of my friends volunteered to pinstripe it and I'm gonna let him do what ever he wants.
He does stellar work, but wow this might be different.
I'm gonna shoot clear on it when it gets back.

I want to go nice 4stoke setup but have not figured out where to buy the parts I want yet.

Oh ya,
Bought a fito bike today so I can mooch parts off of it.
Them 3" tires and disc brakes look sweet.
Thanks for the tip KC.

Just a little update.
First off I've have really been enjoying this build.
Man oh man what a great puzzle.

So I got the frame base paint job done a while ago.
One of my best buds has had the frame for near 2 weeks now doing what ever he wants to do striping and such.
I just want something clean and simple but am not sure of what I'm gonna get out of it.
I'm probably going to get it tomorrow and then begin the multiple clear coat thing.

To recap what I'm doing,
I bought a cheap ass gasbike knock off frame (before I knew there were better options).
Did the custom paint thing.
I bought a fito bike for tires and spare parts.
I bought a monark 2 chrome springer that took for ever to show up.
They actually sent me another one as well.
The monark 2 doesn't take 3 inch tires but the cheaper one (looks like gasbike, came in a gas bike box)does.
So I'm going to use the cheaper gas bike one and figure out a disc break bracket probably just weld one, but would just rather use a bolt on adapter if available and work. Are they?
I called bikeberry to return the extra one I didn't pay for and they had no idea what I was saying so I said make a note of it and get back with me with in 4 weeks if they wanted it back. I can't hold it for ever and think a month or so with a notice is fair before I give it away.
Im no hurry to get rid of it but by giving them a dead line this obligation will have a set time line.

I bought a 49cc with 4G belt drive and center stand from bike parts.
I'm also buying a shift kit from sickbikes.

Probably going to go 3 speed hub with larger gauge spokes.

Love to show some pics and get some build ideas from you guys.
Thanks.
Andy
