Why purchase that motor when the HF is a honda clone that has all kinds of hot rod parts available. Some of the items as upgrades are good to get just to be on the safe side.

Yeah i have no idea if this motor is another clone that represents a factual displacement of 208cc or if it's a completely different engine on its own. I'm not seeing much support for hotrodding so it may be a one-off proprietary engine with little to no mod support.

Culver is right, the HF is a known qty.

We got a couple of the E-start blue Northern Tool motors, and clone parts did not fit, everything was different. Different crank taper, crank main journal was different, cam different etc. We couldn't do our normal upgrades.

In contrast, the HF motor is a hundred bucks and you can get the full range of aftermarket goodies. And besides, the HF motors have the best cylinder heads -bigger valves/ports than Honda's or Clones.

As for CARB compliance, HF has a 212cc Predator engine that is, the 308cc Ironton engine from Northern tool is not.

But then who really cares? laff

(only in California) really?
