I like the bars you have on it now. They have a nice reach and look comfy. Nice looking build. I've reached the same tipping point... much as I like to ride, the building is even better.

I did a few things today. I made a laid back seat post , cut 2 inches off both sides of the bars.
Adjusted everything, and took it for a 50 mi shakedown run.
Hear is how she sits now

I like the Husky bars... nice straight back reach like the older Schwinns. And you can always weld an extension on to give them even more reach, about a grip's worth addition and the weld is hidden by the grip I did that on my Hiawatha and love the bars for their comfort and old timey look. Didn't know Husky had them. I'd like to find ones like that without the rise in the middle of the bars which interfere with a triple tree type fork.
