do you think these forks will accomodate a 26 inch mtn bike wheel?

I'm rebuilding my motorized schwinn and came across these pit bike forks. I'd like to lace up my downhill mtn bike rims to that hub. I'm unsure if they will fit.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Wheel looks to be 32H, if that's what your rims are they should lace up.
26" rim will likely be a bit tight at full travel, with approx. 4" more radius.
May have to limit the suspension travel a little, may get away with it.
I'd like to know how it goes.

Completely different axle assembly and wheel attachment on motorcycle forks. Will need to fab a way to secure wheel, probably need a longer axle as well.
I'm with Theon on the 26"rim fitting....looks like it might be tight and need a travel limiter.
