Hello all,

I recently put this 4 stroke engine kit (http://www.gasbike.net/ghost-racer-4-stroke-kit.html) onto a beach cruiser.

About 10 miles into riding, which was a blast, the 10 tooth sprocket that comes from the engine came off. I had to walk the bike home which sucked badly. I need to replace the 10 tooth sprocket, which is available on gasbike.net as well as bikeberry, but neither of them seem to provide the "clip" or whatever mechanism is needed to fasten the sprocket into place.

Can I just buy the sprocket and put a bolt onto the threaded part to fasten it on? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Do mean the key that fits in the square slots in the pulley and shaft? If so, then yes you need it to keep the sprocket from spinning on the shaft. Local hardware stores usually carry an assortment of these. I'm not sure about the big box stores. Put some blue loctite on the threads when you reassemble it so it doesn't happen again.
