Is there a way to mount an engine on this bike without welding, and if not whats the simplist way to weld the mounts

Look at the thread of this bike I built... I did it all without welding.
I'm sure you could do something similar.

It looks like those mounts will allow the front of the engine to shake up & down & maybe break the rear mounting studs.
I would lower the engine in the frame & use thicker steel for the front mount & aim it (the mount) down to the lower part of the down tube.
To get the engine lower, you can use a second chain tensioner to make the pedal chain go under (or over) the engine.

That looks pretty solid! One more suggestion... Weld that small front mount to the large bracket to keep the engine from twisting side to side.
