Thanks Scott!
your vote for the direction of the Grange October 19th race has been duly noted. ;)

The racers are going to vote to decide whether we race clockwise or counter clockwise.

Might have all the racers at the July 27th Willow Springs 1/4 mile race make the vote because we have to know before the day so we can practice in the right direction at 7 am.

Thanks.
Huge thanks to Venice Motor Bikes for all the prizes and support at
the June 1st race.
Complete 66 cc engine kit, bunch of VMB disc brake adapters......

Hope that you are going to try some 1/4 mile paved oval racing at
Willow Springs on July 27th 2013 under the lights! :)

Lots of stuff to do and see at Willow Springs that weekend.

M1GP will be practicing on Streets of Willow right to the west of
our Speedway oval and are racing on Sunday.

You can see the Streets track from our ovals grandstands and I am
sure they will be at our oval watching after 5pm

There will be drifting on the Walt James 1/4 mile oval south of us where
we were going to race.

Also there will be drag car racing on the Big Willow straight on Saturday
night from 6 pm to 11 pm.
Only $15 to drag race any car! Sorry, no bikes allowed.

You can all cruise around the paved access roads to go get food or cold
drinks from the track restaurants.

Who knows, I am going to get us on to some of the other tracks too.

A cruise around Horse Thief Mile would really be a blast! I got to run it
clockwise and counter clockwise and it is an off the wall track with steep
grades and turns like no other that I know of.

July 27th??? What happened to July 20th, the weekend that I put a request to have off??
Really sorry Scott.
I hope that you can get your weekend off changed to a week later.

35 days to race day.

Oh the joys of setting up a race at a hard to get a hold of new track
that needs lights.
Bottom line is that Willow Springs way under quoted me on the cost to
light the Walt James oval then wasn't contactable for a week!

I just found out yesterday that the lights would cost over $1000 instead
of the about $300 special deal so I almost ended up cancelling everything.

The only option was to use the Speedway paved oval which has built in
lights so we just need to rent the huge generator and pay for the diesel.

The Speedway paved oval was being used on July 20th for stock car racing
so we had to move the date to Saturday July 27th.

Not to whine, but you have no idea about the time and headaches involved
in getting this new race venue going..........really makes me appreciate Jim
Granger and Grange Motor Circuit.

Willow Springs are really nice people but we are small fry to them and they
are giving us a good deal to get some summer night races going.
