**Review of King's Sales and Service**

I was lucky just to get my money back from King's, I took it and ordered a nicer custom sprocket from Rebel Gears for a reasonable price, and they were an absolute pleasure to talk with about my order to make sure I got exactly what I wanted in a short timeframe. That was years ago, it's sad to see others fell into the trap of placing an order with King's, their actions show how they cannot be trusted with upfront payment.

Just made an order a week ago and after that I didn't receive any emails for the tracking information. Decided to call and never answered. Tried contacting them thru the site and nothing.

Paypal claim went thru and they didn't even responded to that so it was escalated to a claim which will be processed soon.

Stay away from these guys.

I can't even begin to tell you how crappy this company is. The website... meh. I've seen worse; I've seen better. But the real character is Andrew (I guess the owner and/or the "answering service"). If you DO manage to get through on their number, he sounds like you're talking to Ed Norton from the Honeymooner's (and is just as clueless).

You literally can have a conversation with him one day, and he won't remember what you talked about the next time you talk with him just days later. Like the OP mentioned, there's always some excuse as to where anything is in the process. "Your order got lost behind some boxes", "we had to let our temp person go", "I'm on the road right now and can't check paperwork", and on, and on. And like another person mentioned, there IS NO "Customer Service". You call some cell number, leave/text a message, but those always go unanswered. The only way to talk to someone is if you're lucky enough that he picks up the phone when you call.

Back in February, I called the very first time and got through to him (amazing)! We talked about 20 minutes on the phone about a project I was doing where I was in need of a custom sprocket, I told him the specs, and mailed him some samples. I felt pretty good about the whole thing. Then weeks go by! WEEKS! No call back after I left like 20 messages! So guess what? I drove up there to the address on their website (2 hours away). It's not a shop at all! It's a Pak-n-Mail/mailboxes type business. I called him from the parking lot fuming. NO ANSWER... surprise!

I let another week go by, call him up, ask him what the deal was, and he tells me, "I'm actually on the side of the road broke down. Just text me the details." I text and text and text! NO REPLY!! I wait another three weeks and call him up again and he has NO idea what I'm talking about. Based on my own personal experiences with them, I have nothing good to say about Kings Sales & Service. If he used to be good to deal with, he isn't any longer. This guy needs to either shut down his business entirely or take it more seriously. I'm out my samples I have $80 invested in.

You must be talking about some other company than King Motor Bike, you got an anwser on their customer service line. I have "NEVER" got through to King Motor Bikes customer dept. They put you on hold forever.

Keep in mind that 'Kings Motor Bikes' is a totally different company than 'Kings Sales & Service'.

I ordered from kings sprockets a few years ago, and had no email contact or tracking number. The sprocket did show up a few weeks later. It was super high quality. I've never had anything but good news about the performance of the rear sprocket(50t). I was just experimenting with a 44t china made sprocket, and the thing keeps derailing with perfect alignment and tension. So I put in my order with Kings for a 44t and 40t sprockets. My own 2 cents.....When I was having parts chromed for my car, the plating shop gave me a date to come in and pickup the parts. He told me not to call him because the parts wouldn't be ready until the day he told me to pick them up. Well, I called him a few days before the parts were ready and he had a volcanic eruption. Now, when I take something to his shop, I never call, but wait for the day he told me the parts would be ready. I should have respected his position about his running his shop the way he wants to. Will update later on the outcome of these orders I placed with King's sprockets.

When I tried to order a custom sprocket from kings, they never answered my calls, stole my money, and never made me a sprocket. I had to file, and then escalate, a paypal claim to get the money back, and even paypal couldn't get him to refund me, luckily I was covered under paypal protection, so they refunded me. I used the money to order a sprocket from rebelgears, which is by far the best sprocket company I have found.

I understand what you are saying, but I'm going to give it a chance. his products in the past were extra ordinary. As for the money, if it doesn't work out for me, it's not that much money anyway. The next time I am at a Indian casino, I'll cut them off for the same amount of money. Everyone knows how to pass the buck. I checked out rebel gears, but I need a custom manufactured grubee 6 hole, and it looked to me like they don't do such things. Will keep updating my experience as it unfolds.

Rebel gears you can specify #of holes, position of holes, center hole diameter, anything you could think of, they can make. Also the quality is top notch.

So far I placed orders with King's Sales and Service, and Rebel Gears. I placed the order with Sandy at Rebel Gears two weeks later than I did with King's Sales and Service. I just got the Rebel Gear shipment yesterday. It took 1 week. I was unsure of the math involved laying out my own gear hole pattern, but I must have done something right. Rebel Gears RULE. I'm still waiting on King's Sales and Service. The reason I ordered from King's Sales and Service was that they wanted no hole pattern dimensions. I'm thinking about starting a new thread that helps understand how to do the math.

The last time I tried to buy something from King is was one of their generic sprockets and or top hats. I ordered off of Kings web site. Waited 6 weeks and got nothing. Had paid via paypal. Requested paypal for a refund and got it. I would not waste my time. RebeL Gear can take of most of your needs in my opinion.

Seems like he has been costing paypal a lot of money for a long time.. Why don't they just shut off his account????

I ordered a sprocket from Rebel gears, and King's Sales and Service 1 month ago. I got my bike running with the Rebel Gear Sprocket (44t). I really don't need the King's Sales and Service sprocket(40t) now. I hope King's refuses to send my order so I can get a Paypal Protection claim started. How long should I wait before I notify Paypal of a deadbeat merchant???

Here is the final outcome of my orders placed with King's Sales and Service. It is a non functional company. The website should be taken down, as it serves no purpose other than to not answer emails. If you must order from them, use paypal. And if you place an order through paypal, make sure that you get the option to add a note telling Andy what hole pattern you will need. If you don't get that option , cancel the transaction. It takes exactly 1 month to get a refund from paypal. It would be best to establish e mail contact before you place an order with Andy, as he does read his emails, but rarely answers them. It is not the typical website and should be avoided.

I wonder what happened to him? He was awesome at getting whatever you needed back then and his product were top notched. I hope he's doing well.

I have to wonder if he sold the business or something to someone else. He always went above and beyond for his customers
