Just built brand new kit. Attempted to run first time - NO SPARK. Troubleshooting with ohmmeter, I tracked to Magneto.
With laminated wire frame disconnected and completely removed from bike and on the bench, I find the WHITE wire at bottom of coil is permanently shorted to the frame, therefore exactly as if I had the kill switch hooked to it with the button depressed. It gets constant chassis ground with all wires disconnected.
Is this a common manufacturing fault???? Brand new out of box.
