at any auto parts place you can get real fuel line (like for cars) for a buck a foot or so.
Absolutly.
Get real gas line I.D. sized for the Carb cutoff valve.
The first thing you will notice is the tank valve is smaller so it doesn't fit tight.
Just leave the stock line on the valve and cut it off at the bottom.
In short that fattens up the tank side valve and the real gas line fits stug over it too.

Any auto parts store, lawnmower shop or motorcycle shop can supply you with fuel line. Look for 1/4" ID (inside diameter) and you'll be on your way. Small clamps are available but not really necessary. Nylon tie-wraps (zip-ties) will hold as well. Do not use aquarium or plastic tubing that is not compatible with gasoline. The kit supplied fuel line is notorious for premature deterioration (hardening) and should be replaced with something better.
