Guys, I have done a search here and didn't find them but do you know anyone who sells maroon color powder coated rims? Want to build a new bike.

just a idea, but if you can find the color you want its not to hard to paint your rims,here is how i do it ,lightly sand the rim, slice a bunch of straws down the middle put em on your spokes secure em so they dont slide all over hange the wheel and spray away, let the paint cure for 2 days then use tire spoons to put the tire on hope this helps!

Makes everything taste funny, though.Never thought about the Straws good Idea and there reusable too!

The straws is a good idea and one I will use this winter, I think. I'm planning to use old moped hubs, new heavy duty spokes and 1952 Schwinn rims to lace them into. With your idea I can do a nice paint job on the rims once it is together. Never laced a wheel before, but even old dogs can learn new tricks so long as there's a treat involved. Ha!
