Why does the lower seat make it more comfortable?
Looks nice, by the way.
A low seat height is more comfortable for a couple of reasons. It tends to allow a more upright riding position, and when you come to stops, you can just plop your feet down without having to balance on one cheek, and a tippy toe.

For a bicycle, a high seat makes sense, but for a motor bicycle that mainly is only ridden on the street there's not much benefit.

Biknut is right IMO. The lower the seat...the more comfortable. I am 6'2" and I like my seat as low as possible. My Avenir Spring Seat is real firm, but it's a comfortable seat and with the springer forks installed....it really is a joy to ride. I normally cruise well under 30....so vibration is not much of an issue for me.
