Yeah I know weird topic, but got you to look huh..lol

Was crossing the net looking at different parts, to get ideas and drool a little bit. This kept leading me to different scooter shops, put bikes, mopeds, and what not. This got me to thinking about the compatibility of the parts.

I currently have a flying horse 66cc motor, and was wondering if some of these parts will work. The main part I am interested in was a stainless cylinder set, with a head that looks like a Fred head to be honest. At a price of $120 or so was wondering if this would be a bomb proof option for these bikes.

Just curious about the different parts out there. Would hate to buy something and not be able to use them.

never heard of a stainless cylinder set - maybe it just has stainless mounting hardware?

what would one bolt that carb too?

That site also has a double flanged tube that looks like it should go from our cylinder to the carb. Let me go through my history and find the cylinder kit....

I know not the correct displacement, but the concept is there. That and with getting killed at more and more by the cops around here, wouldn't mind having the 49cc to actually stay within the law. Not like they are going to tear down the middle, but I wouldn't put it past someone to question it.

that tube is for a horizontal engine (like a honda moped) you'd need to saw off the clutch housing & turn the motor downward to use it on an HT

top end set is nothing like what can be mounted on HT cases

It's been done before and the result was a really fast bike but there's a good amount of fab work to be done before it'll fit... and the guy used a longer rod off who knows what engine and the bolt pattern is different so he also made an adapter plate out of steel that goes between the case and the jug as well as making his own intake system and using a much larger carb etc... http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2hyvs6e&s=8

It does take a certain amount of skill to do one like this and get it right, it's NOT a bolt on and go type project, but it can be done.
