I've seen 2 ways to remove the gov on a hf 79..

1... Open the side and try to get the little circlip off the gov shaft and remove all innards....

2 Take flywheel off and pound gov shaft thru........

Is one easier?????

I got the gov out using the pry and hope method....I didn't take the flywheel off, so the gov. rod can stay in place..

I didn't see a low oil sensor in mine...
Now I need to find a suitable bike.....

Assuming the Predator 79cc is similar to the Greyhound 79cc (both HF engines, Greyhound is older)- I followed AGK's 99cc stepthru and it was perfect.

AGK's 99cc build tutorial is here:
https://www.affordablegokarts.com/99cc-predator.php

It has a lot more detailed pics than the 79cc version linked above, and they're very similar.

The low oil sensor is BEHIND the cam (tan part in this pic):

I also totally removed the governor and tapped threads in the engine casing hole. It was easier than I thought it would be. Governor used to be in the hole in the upper left of this pic, low oil sensor lower right:

Finally, the offending parts (top to bottom: paddle, governor, low oil sensor):

I just tore it out from the side shown... Left the gov gear pin in, and just have to plug the big hole where the bent rod was...Hopefully i'm good to go...

Got it back together after taking out gov..... I had no low oil sensor in there...Now to find a suitable frame and gather all the other parts I need...

What is the best mounting plate combination to use on this...???
