Lube the cable and remove the spring that goes between the cable adjuster under the carb and the clutch lever on the engine. It serves no purpose if your cable is adjusted properly.
Also make sure your clutch cable is not kinked anywhere or zip tied a hundred times to the frame of your bike.
A new clutch will be a little stiff and loosen up with a little run time.
