Yeah, that first ride is always special. I live on a nice long hill. Even before the engines are mounted I will walk them up to the top and bomb on back down to the shop. Like a big slalom course. I test the brakes, fork operation, alignment, etc. By the time the motors sitting in it it's just about the motor as the other details are already tested. For whatever it's worth I ride the heck out of every machine I build!
