Hello Fellow Bikers,

I finished my first 4-Stroke kit and love it, the bike has a exhaust pipe that was made to fit but cant seem to find a short piece of wraparound exhaust insulation for about 10inches of pipe which is close to my knee, it seems that all the auto stores sell it by 50 feet, hopefully someone can refer me what to use or where to get a small amount for my purpose.

smoking your pant leg? then found the site? just kidding.
you can look at the auto parts stores or speed shops for it might even try some of the cycle shops that work on and sell parts for customs/choppers they use the wrap.
kart shops sell it in short lengths.

A fiberglass cloth might work pretty good. I have some fiberglass welding blankets that are very very resilient to heat. You can put a propane torch directly on it and it just glows red, remove the torch and it looks like it never happened. I would think that the fiberglass cloth sold in hardware stores and automotive stores might work similar. I have never tried it, just a thought.
