I am going to be using most of a Murray Mountain bike to build my teens-20s era motorcycle replica from. I was wondering if heavier spokes can be put into the wheels and is it worth the bother? Also I was thinking of lacing a coaster hub into the rear wheel for a little extra brake safety. I am assuming all I need is a hub with the same number of spokes as the rear wheel?
