Dual Pull Brake level set-up

I'm in the process of hooking up my brake cables to my dual pull level and although this may sound like a dumb question here it goes: does it matter which brake cable goes where? I was thinking of installing the front brake cable at the slot on the level closer to the handlebars because of the smaller arc of travel of that 'puller' and the rear brake cable I was going to install on the outside slot.

Any comments, suggestions?

It doesn't matter which cable goes where. The lever will equalize brake application regardless.
You can set it so the rear applies before the front, or vice-versa by using the barrel adjusters on the lever.

The most important thing is making sure your brakes are adjusted properly and the brake pads are secure.
If you happen to lose anything on one brake, you will lose almost all of your braking efficiency.
