Pre-WWI motorcycles and autos race on the beach in the Wildwoods area of New Jersey. This summer will be only the second time the event has been run. Link to the site is below.
There are not that many pics on the ROG official site.
I learned of the event in the new "Motorcycle" magazine. The mag had a lot more pics of the event than the ROG site. I posted a link to the mag, but unfortunately, the Race of Gentlemen article is not yet available on line. The article is in the current issue, so it will not be available on line for a while.

It's very difficult to obtain a permit to race on the beach in the states. i need to attend one of the ROG events before the environmentalists put a stop to it.

I saw a roadster that looked like what also races at that event the other day that had all 4 wheels completely exposed and no roof. The engine I got a quick glimpse of as there was no hood either. I thought I saw the radiator that was mounted horizontally and near the front of the engine a few inches above the engine, which seems wrong.

But maybe there was an air scoop somewhere that directed air through it?
The exposed profile for wind through the radiator would be quite limited if nothing compensated for the angle.

It may be a low aero drag mod and they only plan to operate the engine for short durations. Top fuel and top alcohol dragsters have no radiator because the engine only runs for a few minutes.
