interesting. The bike worked perfectly and I don't remember having that thing sticking out loosely. I could be totally wrong. Does the bucking bar just rest in that hole ever so slightly?

I'm having issues w/ installing the clutch. Should I put that bucking bar into the crank shaft and then install the clutch? Would that explain why the clutch is not working? What confuses me is that I also have a semi stripped clutch lever and chord so I'm not sure why I dont get the same tension on the clutch.

Thanks for the reply and any help.

When you put it in the hole, it should stick out at least a 1/4 inch. Sometimes it will be a bit further out. There is also an 8mm steel ball behind it in that hole that may sometime fall out.

If you have the clutch off, the spring tension may cause it to stick out further until you get the flower nut to pull a bit on the rod going thru that shaft.
