been riding my cafe build long enough to see how well the hub works. the sa 3 sp hub is working great. 1st gear lets you go pretty slow with out jerking the engine like with a stock kit set up. leaving it in 2nd and not shifting is about like riding a stock kit bike. in 3rd it can cruise at a stock kit bikes top speed at a much lower rpm. don't have a speedo but i'd say i'm doing around 30 mph with the motor barely reving. the drum brakes work very good too. over all i'm happy with it and would use the hub again on future builds. the only draw back i have is it's harder to start with the freewheel kit as you have to pedal through the start up, the freewheel dosen't let you just bump start it, you have to pedal all the way to start up with out help from the rear wheel.
