centrifical clutch springs breaking and hot clutch , maybe slipping.please help
Im using HS 49cc 4 stroke, this gearbox and 44 tooth front sprocket, freewheel crank (as links below) on th left hand side. the clutch is getting real hot quickly and breaking the centrifical clutch springs. after 2 hours use or less the gearbox has a spring break and of course it stops working. Ive replaced 5 new clutches and no change in circumtances. should i scour the bell housing with some gritpaper or similar to aid grip for the clutch pads?
P.S. Ive also tried a second gearbox. Im getting frustrated and need some assistance. thanks . mtdandy in Australia http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Three-Sho...#ht_5913wt_951 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Quality-R...#ht_6278wt_951 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/44-Teeth-...#ht_5442wt_951
Re: centrifical clutch springs breaking and hot clutch , maybe slipping.please help
Is sounds to me like you need to gear it down some more. The ratio is too low and you are over stressing the clutch.
